  1. General principles

3.1 Which data we collect from you and from whom we receive this data

We primarily process personal data that you transmit to us or that we collect in the course of operating our website. In some circumstances we may also receive personal data about you from third parties. This may include the following categories:

  • Personal master data (name, address, dates of birth, etc.);
  • Contact details (mobile number, e-mail address, etc.);
  • Financial data (e.g. account details);
  • Online identifiers (e.g. cookie identifiers, IP addresses);
  • Location and traffic data;
  • Audio and image recordings;
  • particularly sensitive data (e.g. biometric data or information about your health).

3.2 Under what conditions do we process your data?

We treat your data confidentially and in accordance with the purposes set out in this privacy policy. In doing so, we take care to ensure transparent and proportionate processing.

If, in exceptional cases, we are unable to comply with these principles, the data processing may nevertheless be lawful because a justifying ground exists. Possible justifying grounds include, in particular:

  • your consent;
  • the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures;
  • our legitimate interests, provided that your interests do not prevail.

3.3 How can you withdraw your consent?

If you have given us your consent to process your personal data for specific purposes, we process your data within the scope of that consent unless we have another justifying ground.

You may withdraw your consent at any time by sending an e-mail to the address stated in the legal notice. Data processing that has already taken place is not affected by this.

3.4 In which cases may we pass on your data to third parties?

  1. Principle

In some circumstances we may need to make use of the services of third parties or of affiliated companies and to commission them to process your data (so-called processors). The categories of recipients are, in particular:

  • accounting, fiduciary and auditing companies;
  • consulting firms (legal advice, tax, etc.);
  • IT service providers (web hosting, support, cloud services, website design, etc.);
  • payment service providers;
  • providers of tracking, conversion and advertising services.

We ensure that these third parties and our affiliated companies comply with the requirements of data protection and treat your personal data confidentially.

In some circumstances we may also be obliged to disclose your personal data to authorities.

  1. Visiting our social media channels

We may have embedded links to our social media channels on our website. This is visible to you in each case (typically via the corresponding icons). If you click on the icons, you will be redirected to our social media channels.

In this case, the social media providers learn that you are accessing their platform from our website. The social media providers may use the data collected in this way for their own purposes. We would point out that we obtain no knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or of its use by the operators.

  1. Transfer abroad

In the course of commissioned data processing, your personal data may in some circumstances be transmitted to companies abroad. These companies are obliged to protect your data to the same extent as we are ourselves. The transmission may take place worldwide.

If the level of data protection does not correspond to that of Switzerland, we carry out a prior risk assessment and ensure by contract that the same level of protection as in Switzerland is guaranteed (for example by means of the new standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission or other legally prescribed measures). Should our risk assessment be negative, we take additional technical measures to protect your data. You can access the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission at the following link. https://commission.europa.eu/publications/standard-contractual-clauses-controllers-and-processors-eueea_de

3.5 How long do we keep your data?

We store personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the individual purposes for which the data was collected.

Data that we store when you visit our website is retained for twelve months. An exception applies to analytics and tracking data, which may be retained for longer.

We store contract data for longer, as we are obliged to do so by statutory provisions. In particular, we must retain business communications, concluded contracts and accounting records for up to 10 years. Insofar as we no longer need such data from you in order to perform the services, the data is blocked and we use it only for accounting and tax purposes.

3.6 How do we protect your data?

We will keep your data secure and take all reasonable measures to protect your data against loss, access, misuse or alteration.

Our contractual partners and employees who have access to your data are obliged to comply with data protection provisions. In some cases it will be necessary for us to forward your enquiries to companies affiliated with us. In these cases, too, your data will be treated confidentially.

Within our website we use the SSL (Secure Socket Layer) procedure in conjunction with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser in each case.

3.7 What rights do you have?

  1. Right of access

You may at any time request information about the data we have stored about you. We ask you to send your access request together with proof of identity to admin@zahnfeezuerich.ch.

You also have the right to receive your data in a common file format if we process your data by automated means and if:

  • you have given your consent to the processing of this data; or
  • you have disclosed data in connection with the conclusion or performance of a contract.

We may restrict or refuse the provision of information or the release of data if this conflicts with our statutory obligations, with legitimate interests of our own or of the public, or with the interests of a third party.

The processing of your request is subject to the statutory processing period of 30 days. However, we may extend this period owing to a high volume of requests, for legal or technical reasons, or because we require more detailed information from you. You will be informed of any extension of the period in good time, at least in text form.

  1. Deletion and rectification

You may at any time request the deletion or rectification of your data. We may refuse the request if statutory provisions oblige us to retain the data for a longer period or in unaltered form, or if a legal ground for permission conflicts with your request.

Please note that exercising your rights may in some circumstances conflict with contractual agreements and may have corresponding effects on the performance of the contract (e.g. early termination of the contract or cost consequences).

  1. Legal recourse

If you are affected by the processing of personal data, you have the right to enforce your rights in court or to submit a report to the competent supervisory authority. The competent supervisory authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner: https://www.edoeb.admin.ch

3.8 Changes to the privacy policy

We may amend this privacy policy at any time. The amendments will be published on www.zahnarzt-online.ch; you will not be informed of them separately.

  1. Individual data processing operations

How can you prevent this data collection?

The data is stored only for as long as is necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected. Accordingly, the data is deleted at the end of each session. This enables us to measure and optimise the effectiveness of our advertising measures.

The information collected through LinkedIn Ads is anonymous to us; that is, we do not receive any personal data of individual users. However, this data is stored and processed by LinkedIn, so that a link to the respective user profile is possible and LinkedIn may use the data for its own advertising purposes in accordance with the LinkedIn privacy policy.

If you are a LinkedIn member and are logged into your LinkedIn account while you visit our website, the data collected through LinkedIn Ads will be linked to your LinkedIn account.

The use of LinkedIn Ads serves the purpose of analysing and optimising the effectiveness of our advertising measures. The data processing is based on our legitimate interest in targeted advertising and in analysing the impact and efficiency of that advertising.

4.4 Google Customer Reviews

On our website we use the Google Customer Reviews service, offered by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; "Google"). Google Customer Reviews enables our customers to give feedback on their purchasing experiences with us and helps us to improve our service quality and the customer experience.

After a purchase on our website, you may be invited to take part in a Google Customer Reviews survey. If you decide to take part, Google provides you with a survey in which you can rate your experiences with us. The information you provide is processed and aggregated by Google in order to give us an overall picture of customer satisfaction.

When Google Customer Reviews is used, data, including your IP address, the date and time of the survey and your ratings, is transmitted to Google and stored on Google servers. These servers may be located in the USA or in other countries.

If you do not wish to take part in Google Customer Reviews, you can simply ignore or decline the invitation to the survey.

Further information on Google's data collection and data protection practices in relation to Google Customer Reviews can be found in Google's privacy policy at https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy/ and in the specific information on Google Customer Reviews.

These servers may be located in the USA or in other countries.

Google uses this information to provide the Google My Business services, to facilitate users' interactions with businesses and to provide us with reports and analyses concerning the interactions and performance of our business listing.
